Your TOS team attended the final “Learning Lab” of this program last month. The workshop title was “Growing Young,” but “growing new” might be a better description.  While we did learn about trends and best practices in youth engagement with church, much of what we discussed centered around how to share institutional energy, responsibility, and ownership as congregations change through time.

With Year Two pretty much under our belt now, TOS is looking to take action on some of the goals we developed.  (See our previous post on this page!) We improved signage to help guests feel welcome, and we are looking forward to having Franklin Robinson come talk about Episcopal history in Southern Maryland on August 25.

With an eye towards hospitality and getting to know our neighbors, we are also hoping to add some activities (and food) to last year’s very successful Trunk or Treat. Stay tuned!
