For October 15 (Session 11)

We will gather for Session Ten on Wednesday, October 15, from 6:30 to 8pm on Zoom.  This is our final session, and we will approach the materials a bit differently from how we have in previous sessions. For the bulk of our time we will consider the discernment questions found in the Handout, Part 1, and then look through the ‘Becoming Beloved Community Where You Are’ booklet together before closing with a Litany.

The materials for this session include:

  • Film (57 minutes) ‘After Sacred Ground’
  • Article: Black History Is Everyone’s History by Leonard Pitts (from Session 1)
  • Booklet: Becoming Beloved Community Where You Are
  • Web page: 2021 Inventory of Racial Justice and Truth-telling Ministries
  • Handout: “Walk On: The Journey After Sacred Ground” (complete Part 1 prior to session)
  • Core book: Jesus and the Disinherited – Chapter 5 and Epilogue

The Zoom link for our meetings is on the parish calendar and will remain the same for each meeting.

To access the materials for Session Ten, go to The Episcopal Church’s Sacred Ground page,  scroll down to the “enter site” button, and enter the password that Deacon Susan sent by email.
