I’m Back

Wow, it has been a while since I’ve written anything.
The summer has come and gone and now we are in Advent waiting for the coming of Jesus.
I would like to thank everyone for their support during Mike’s long recovery from knee surgery and my unexpected broken wrist and all our travels. I know all your prayers helped to support us through this year.
Well once again you have all answered the call for help, by providing for the families of Mt Hope Nanjemoy School. You all filled the Thanksgiving Baskets to capacity and are well on the way to filling the Christmas ones. In addition, we are sponsoring one family with gifts for four children in the family. We will also be providing this family with breakfast basket.
By now you have all met Kurt Ellison who I am mentoring through the Deacon process. His internship will last until September 2026 when God willing and with the consent of the people he will be ordained. Kurt chose Durham to do his internship even though it is a bit of a drive to get here. Please take the time to share your stories and history with Durham Parish.
